Travel Inspirations from your Pittsburgh Apartments

June 22nd, 2017 by Ryan Sundling

Everyone living in apartments in Pittsburgh is happy that summer is finally here. Living in Pennsylvania really makes you appreciate the warm weather, probably because it’s so rare most of the year. While you could spend your summer enjoying the nice weather in Pittsburgh, why not skip town to travel? Pittsburgh will still be here when you get back, in all it’s snow-covered glory.

Most of our residents are on the young side of life. Many of you are students or young professionals. Even the more seasoned apartment dwellers out there love calling SkyVue home because this community offers you the chance to continue enjoying a life that offers plenty of freedom in the middle of the city.

The point is, you should travel while you’re young, healthy and not tied down. The longer you live, the more attachments you accumulate. It starts with a pet, then comes a spouse, then a house and a car and a demanding career.  You’ll wonder where the time went unless you enjoy it right now. Lucky for you, your community of apartments for rent in Pittsburgh has some apps to inspire your inner traveler.

Traveling has never been easier, even if it hasn’t gotten any less expensive. All you need to get started is smartphone, an internet connection, and a credit card. Whether you’re traveling to Europe, South America or Asia, the following apps can help you research your destination and secure lodging accommodations. Use these apps to help you unleash the world-traveler that’s waiting inside.

  1. TripLingo

Traveling to a country that speaks english is convenient, but it’s not exactly adventurous. Plus, most countries speak english to one degree or another. If you decide to take a leap of faith and travel to a non-english speaking country, TripLingo will be your new best friend. Instead of trying to teach you the entire language like Rosetta Stone does, TripLingo just equips you with the basic phrases that you’ll need to get through day-to-day life.

  1. Airbnb

Alright, so telling you to use Airbnb isn’t some groundbreaking, life-changing recommendation. But their app is really slick, and it’s a welcome change from their somewhat clunky desktop site. The service itself is unmatched. There’s simply no other way to find the kind of incredible lodging that Airbnb offers. You can stay in treehouses, log cabins, huts, teepees and any other structure you can think of. Traveling is about new experiences, so avoid the hotel or hostel and opt, instead, for outside the box lodging.

  1. Findery

If you’re traveling somewhere you’ve never been, you want to know if you’re making the right choice by choosing that city or country. You can search all over the internet for various reviews, or you can just download Findery. All the best reviews can be found in this app, which lets people leave “notes” in places they’ve been that are, above all else, honest. No one hypes up a city more than it should be hyped up, and everyone has at least one good thing to say about a country. In a time where companies can pay to have people review their products, honest reviews are hard to come by, unless you download Findery.
Once again, thank you for taking some time out of your busy schedule to check out the SkyVue blog. We hope you found the inspiration you need to start planning your next adventure. We’ll be back in a few weeks with another post. While you wait, be sure to follow us on social media. There’s no better way to stay up to date with everything happening at your Pittsburgh apartments. See you next time!
