Our Top Autumn Events Combine Art, Culture, & Cocktails
Here at SkyVue, we’re proud to be the newest addition to Oakland’s vibrant community.
We’re also proud to offer the most flexible living options of any apartments in
Pittsburgh, PA, ranging from studios to three bedroom units. One of the best parts
about SkyVue is our fantastic central location. From here, you can easily explore all of
Pittsburgh’s unique and historic neighborhoods. In that spirit, we’re spotlighting a few
events happening around town this fall that we think are worth checking out.
Good Fridays at the Andy Warhol Museum combine two of our favorite things: happy
hour and art. The north side is home to some of Pittsburgh’s most fascinating places,
from the historic Mexican War Streets to the National Aviary. It’s also home to iconic
restaurants like Nicky’s Thai Kitchen & Max’s Allegheny Tavern. So you don’t need a
good excuse to make the short trip. But if you do, Good Fridays are it. Every Friday from
5 pm to 10 pm, The Warhol offers half-price museum admission and a full bar for a more
social way to experience this world-class museum.
For our next event, we head down to the always-lively Strip District. Because even
though SkyVue has the best-designed rental apartments in Pittsburgh, you’ll still need
some décor to personalize yours. That’s why we’re excited to see that the Strip’s Society
for Contemporary Craft is hosting an amazing event called CRAFTED, which displays
works by more than 30 American ceramic artists. The event showcases functional items
made for the table, specifically to hold and/or serve food and drink. The opening
celebration on Friday, November 6 features food and drink by Bar Marco (also located in
the Strip). All of the tableware from the exhibition and more will be on view and for sale
through December 28, 2015.
