When you live in Pittsburgh apartments, you get access to some seriously delicious dining options. Every year, dozens of new restaurants pop up all over town to the delight of Pittsburgh residents. You could live at SkyVue for years and never go to the same restaurant twice.

Some might say there’s almost too much variety in the Pittsburgh restaurant scene. It’s hard to enjoy your meal when you have FOMO about the restaurant down the street that you didn’t go to. These days, you have to go out to eat almost every night just to stay on top of the booming restaurant scene here in the Steel City.

Truth be told, having an abundance of restaurants isn’t the worst thing in the world. In fact, it’s not even a problem unless your bank account is screaming, “NO!” while your stomach screams “YES!”

We have the luxury apartments Pittsburgh students prefer, and we don’t take that title lightly. As part of our luxury package, we’re giving residents the lowdown on three new restaurants that have opened in and around downtown this spring. If you’re trying to restrain yourself from all of Pittsburgh’s amazing restaurants, you’re not going to like this blog post.

BRGR

This upscale burger eatery might have a name that sounds more like an app than a restaurant, but they sure know how to deliver a mouth-watering hamburger. BRGR currently has three locations in Pittsburgh in addition to their new restaurant downtown.

BRGR is cool because all the burgers and ingredients are a-la-carte. You get to assemble your own burger using their wide-variety of ingredients. Another fun aspect of BRGR is the fact that the sides are big enough for 2-3 people, so you can get an extra side for the table without having to fight over tiny portions.

Their new location will be located near Market Square and will offer indoor seating in addition to plenty of patio seating outside.

City Works Eatery

Five words folks: Truffle Mac & Cheese with Bacon. City Works is off to a good start with that on the menu. Like BRGR, City Works also has a new spot near Market Square, and they also have plenty of outdoor seating.

City Works opened on March 11th, just in time for March Madness. It was perfect for that, and it will be perfect for the NBA  and NHL playoffs thanks to the 15 flat screen TVs inside. City Works promises to be an awesome new hangout spot downtown. Before we move on to the next restaurant, we have to mention one more item on the City Works menu: Firecracker Rolls. These are made of “marinated spicy cajun chicken, vegetable medley and avocado cream.” Amazing, right? Alright on to the next new restaurant.

Talia Cucina & Rosticceria

Some restaurants specialize in high-end italian food with dish names that you can barely pronounce. Other eateries offer more common Italian food like pizza and spaghetti. At the newly opened Talia Cucina & Rosticceria, you can have it all. From standard paninis to gorgeously plated ricotta gnocchi, Pittsburgh’s new Italian restaurant has a little something for every kind of Italian cuisine enthusiast.

Early reviews are already rolling in for this restaurant that opened downtown on March 13th. Their customers love the “unique spicy gnocchi” and the open-style kitchen that gives diners a chance to see the food being made. Talia Cucina & Rosticceria even has 10 seats right in front of the kitchen that offer an unbeatable view of the chefs in action.
