Run The Jewels at Stage AE

Friday, January 13th

8:00 p.m.

Some music critics have made the claim that Run The Jewels has the best live show of any hip-hop artist performing right now. Killer Mike and El-P formed the duo in 2013. This tour will be part of the promotion for their third studio album, Run the Jewels 3, due out on January 13th, 2017.

Stage AE is a great location for this show, conveniently located on the North Shore. RTJ could rock any venue in Pittsburgh, but it’s a treat to have them at Stage AE this time around.

Twenty One Pilots at PPG Paints Arena

Friday, January 27th

7:00 p.m.

For some reason, hockey arenas are some of the best concert venues. PPG Paints Arena is no different, and that’s why the uber-popular two-man group Twenty One Pilots will play a jam packed there at the end of the month. Twenty One Pilots need a big stage because they were one of the hottest acts of 2016, performing at sold out arenas around the country. Their live show features a light show, tons of video production and plenty of mood swings. The two musicians leave it all out on the stage to the benefit of their fans.

Lauryn Hill at Heinz Hall

Tuesday, January 31st

8:00 p.m.

In 2016, Lauryn Hill performed in Pittsburgh for the first time in 17 years and by all accounts, the show was spectacular. As a live artist, Lauryn Hill is known for conducting her whole band throughout the performance as well as constantly making minor technical adjustments to ensure the audience hears the best sound possible. She must have had fan because it only took 7 months or so for her to return to The Burgh, this time to perform at the exquisite Heinz Hall.

Lee Brice and Justin Moore at Petersen Events Center

Thursday, February 2nd

7:00 p.m.

Without a doubt, Lee Brice and Justin Moore are two of the most popular country artist being played on the airwaves right now. Although country music is typically best enjoyed in the summer, we’ll make an exception for these two stars. Brice and Moore will be clearing out the Petersen Events Center, carving a small window out to perform while the Pitt Men’s Basketball team plays on the road. Pittsburgh may be a hustling, bustling town but we can always stop and listen when a couple country boys come and sing us their songs.

Bone Thugs N Harmony at Mr. Small’s Fun House

Sunday, February 26th

8:00 p.m.

Wouldn’t you love to be able to say you saw Bone Thugs N Harmony, one of the most influential rap groups of all time, at Mr. Small’s, a converted church with a capacity of maybe 500 people? This is the stuff hipster dreams are made of. Bone Thugs N Harmony are somehow still touring after more than 20 years in the industry. The Cleveland, Ohio rap group always ends their shows with their hit, Crossroads. Don’t tell us you don’t want to see Crossroads performed in a converted church. See you there!
