If you’ve experienced that scenario once or twice, there are a couple things you can do. For those of you with roommates, go ahead and just blame the roommate and ignore the problem. However, the medicine cabinet is usually the last thing anyone thinks about when cleaning their apartment, and cleaning it up can remove a lot of stress from your morning routine. Purchase a laundry hamper with a top on it

Investing in a sturdy, good looking laundry hamper that has a lid will help you out in multiple ways on your journey to a cleaner apartment. For starters, you won’t have to deal with a pile of dirty clothes staring you in the face everytime you walk past your laundry hamper. That alone is worth the price you’ll pay for a high quality hamper. It’s amazing how putting a lid over something keeps it from cluttering up the look of your apartment.

The secondary benefit  of owning a laundry hamper with a lid is the fact that you’ll know exactly when it’s time to do the laundry. When you’re unable to close the lid without clothes spilling over the edge, you know it’s time to put in a load. Sure, you’ll have to lift up the lid every time you want to throw clothes in there, but that’s a small price to pay for a clean apartment.
